Faculty members of Apayao State College from both the Conner and Luna Campuses participated in the KABADANG ACHIEVE 2025: Maximizing Research Publication and Intellectual Property Capacity for Cordillera HEIs, a three-day regional training held from November 19 – 21, 2025, initiated by CHED- CAR in partnership with Saint Louis University (SLU), Baguio City.
KABADANG ACHIEVE 2025 brought together researchers, educators, and academic leaders from across the Cordillera Administrative Region, intending to strengthen research productivity, enhance publication competencies, and increase awareness of intellectual property rights – key elements in elevating the academic and research standards of higher education institutions in the region.
Representing the ASC Conner Campus were faculty researchers from different programs, namely Dr. Jay Bee Omaweng, Dr. Brent Begay, Dr. Angelyn Ladera, Helen Duriguez, Roxan Sibayan, and Jason Cruz, while the ASC–Luna Campus delegation included Dr. Rema B. Ocampo, Dr. Ruth A. Tumaneng, Dr. David A. Rodolfo, Denmark Centeno, and Claire F. Aquino. Their participation demonstrates ASC’s commitment to cultivating a culture of research excellence and promoting collaborative academic engagement.
The program featured intensive workshops and expert-led lectures on advanced research methodologies, journal publication strategies, patent processes, innovation development, and technology transfer. Resource speakers from distinguished universities and research institutions guided participants in transforming research outputs into meaningful academic contributions and community impact.
ASC faculty researchers expressed strong support for the initiative, emphasizing that capacity-building programs such as KABADANG ACHIEVE 2025 are vital to producing high-quality research aligned with institutional goals and national development priorities.
The event underscores the collective effort of Cordillera HEIs to foster innovation, enrich knowledge production, and strengthen the region’s intellectual capital as it continues to strive for research excellence.
